Tourists coming to Brevard County for the first time usually already know about the beaches! But there are other things about Brevard that is fascinating. What would you recommend? Yes, there are the famous Tourist Guides but nothing like getting recommendations from the locals or tourists who have visited before.

The Brevard Zoo is always a relaxing and fun visit. Get there in the morning if you want to feed the giraffes. The Kennedy Space Center is another.

You beat me to it!

Yes, the Zoo is easily accessible, right off I-95 and the entry fee varies depending on the season. I'm not sure if still running - during the summers on weekends the Zoo entrance is at a special price of maybe five dollars? I'm not sure.

We also have ART! The Trip Adviser website is full of information. Main Street in Downtown Melbourne has Art Galleys and nice restaurants.

Florida is known for Seafood Festivals. You might want to check it out.

The zoo is not so cheap anymore. General admission is $27 for adult. https://brevardzoo.org/
Space Center is a little costly now too. Good for a full day.

Other ideas

Walk Turkey Creek in Palm Bay to see a possible gator or manatee.

Go down to the Stick Marsh to see some natural Florida. Catch and release Bass fishing in the park. Chance to see gators, spoon bills, herons, and other types of wildlife.

There are 60 miles of beach. Some sandy and some with the reef right along shore so rocky.

Sebastian Inlet for swimming in ocean and fishing.

If you are into antiques? lots of antigue stores that are very good. American Antiques in Melbourne is huge . Indian River Antiques off Babcock in Melbourne, and in Grant the The Grant Antique Mall (several buildings). It has the most Highwaymen Art displayed for sale in the county.

Also almost Brevard County west of Titusville on Rt 50 is a cool Orange County Park Fort Christmas. It has old Cracker houses, schools, and church set up in a village with lots of furnishings to check out. Also has playground etc. for the kids.

Spend a day at the National Seashore(Playalinda Beach East of Titusville on Kennedy Space Center property). Good sites of rockets on launch pads and even launches from the beaches there. Be sure to bring food and water with you or anything you will need at the beach.

Take an airboat ride. Visit the space center. Charter a fishing trip. Kayaking trip. Sebastian inlet. As you can tell... I'm an outdoor guy.

If available, one of my favorites to visit ... https://www.deseretranches.com/Home/Contact https://www.deseretranches.com/

Yes, correct. The Zoo entry/admission fee is expensive. They run specials like during the summer, the entry fee can be $5 all day. The idea is to look out for specials when going out of town.

My questions to OP: What time of year or season would you be visiting Brevard County, FL.? So much can be pre-planned for your vacation. And, don't knock the beach out - we have gorgeous sunsets in Florida! Sunrises too!

Are you limited to one section of Florida? Are you driving? What are your hobbies? How much time do you have? Lots of things to be considered. You are very fortunate to have access to the Information Highway.
