Hello all
I am trying to find a place to rent in Williamsville (by Getzville) or Amherst. I was wondering if you all had any suggestions for apartment complexes to look at, or other sites besides craigslist to look for rentals. I can't afford more than $700/month, so that has eliminated lots of the rentals in these areas
Thanks!

I see this place
Colonie Apartments in Amherst, NY
But I have no experience with the place. rent.com is good because it often gets you a $100 bonus.

When looking at prices of apartments in this area it is very important to look at what is included. an Apartment for $700 may not be as good a deal as an apartment that is $800 but also included heat and water. Heat can add up to a fair bit in this area.

Another site to try is Buffalo Apartments | Search Apartments in Buffalo NY

Also some places may not show it in their listings on other sites but may offer different bonuses. The place i found through rent.com had a deal on for a few months where first month is $99. They also had a no-security deposit deal if you have reasonable credit.

Country Club Manor Apartments in Williamsville is a pretty nice place. They have there own gym and pool. The rents range from $800-1000 per month. Maintenance is really good too. Its safe too and everything is close by in the radius of 10-20 min.

Oh and if you find a place... You could think about posting about the location here. Some places have a referral system and if one of us lives there and set it up as a referral you might get some extra bonuses..

If you are looking in amherst for less than $700 you might be out of luck. It's definitely possible, but I don't know what you are looking for in terms of bedrooms, etc.

Where's that? I'm looking for a friend, and it sounds like a nice deal.

Avoid campus manor, I lived there for a year and a half, and they are very cheap apartments and very expensive, and management generally ignores you. Also, look towards apartmentratings.com. Getting info from people who have already lived there is the best advice you are going to get.
