Is Days Park a safe place? I was looking at some of the apartments surrounding it. The rental companies advertise the area as park of Allentown but it seems a little far west. Is this a decent area?

It is safe. Days Park used to be very run down. What happened was criminals would use Days Park to get away from the cops because the cops couldn't get by from Allen Street. Once they made it able to skip over from Allen to Days Park it turned around fairly quickly. When I moved to Buffalo houses in Days Park could be bought for 10 to 60k. Not so anymore. Still it is a pretty traveled little park. I have heard of petty theft, like a bike or patio furniture getting stolen off the front porches. Also heard a few complaints or it being a little too party neighborhood but I guess that depends on who you ask. Currently the school on Days Park is for sale by the city, but I wouldn't worry as one of the charter schools is picking it up fairly quickly. In fact there was a lawsuit because the highest bidder didn't win. Its estimated to sell for 600k.

Days Park is considered in Allentown. A long long time ago it used to connect directly onto Allen St.

Thank you BuffaloLight. Anyone else have any thoughts? Is Days Park a good place for a young professional who is going to be working downtown?

It's part of Allentown and it's a good area for young professionals.
