Anyone have an opinion on the Bell Tower Lofts on Colvin ? Overall neighborhood feel or the lofts themselves ?

Great neighborhood. 1 block to Hertel Avenue. Apartments are brand new. Off-street parking come with the apartments.

This is heartbreaking seeing this. This was my temple when I was growing up. My family went there for many years. From what I remember it was a beautiful building. All that is left is the tower and these hideous apartments. Interesting no mention that it was a Jewish Synagogue on the apartment website. These apartment are IMHO, UGLY and have zero imagination and architectural interest, what a shame. They look like senior housing in anywhere USA. Typical lack of planning on the cities' part.

While not perfect, this can also offer an idea of the walkability of the area for those that aren't familiar with it: https://www.walkscore.com/score/taco...ffalo-ny-14216

This is a much better site that includes crime as well as walkability

Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowed

All walkabilty means if the area is flat, has transit and shopping nearby. You can plug in crime ridden areas of the East Side and they have high walkability scores as well.

Its nice to see that Buffalo/Erie County is providing funds for Tourism to those websites to show the area at its best.

All thats left of a beautiful building is the tower and they built a tacky, cheesy looking complex and called it Bell Tower Lofts. Its not like they saved the original gorgeous building. The contrast is ridiculous IMHO. Classic vs cheesy vinyl sided rubbish.
