So my family and our friends and their kids are coming up from Tompkins county for a day this Sunday. We are going to Niagara Falls first, in the morning. Then the only other definite plans are wings at the Anchor Bar. what other family friendly places and activities are there to do while we're there?
Places I've been in/passed through in the month that I've been here:
Close to Niagara Falls: on the Canadian side is Marineland (themepark, $$$) and Niagara-on-the-Lake (theatre and shopping, $$); on the States side is Fort Niagara State Park (historical, picnic, $). I would have included Artpark in Lewiston but they don't have anything this Sunday (10th). They are having their 42nd annual art festival - but I'm not a big fan of Hugo Rodriguez (the featured artist).
Close to Buffalo: Buffalo Naval Park (history, $).
South of Buffalo: in Hamburg, Erie County Fair (themepark, $)
A family friendly activity would certainly be checking out the Waterfront and Naval Park. See this link to a past forum by FedupWNY showing pictures of the downtown waterfront/Naval Park. //www.city-data.com/forum/buffa...-pictures.html
