We're thinking of buying in the New North End (Burlington), but are a little concerned about possible smells from the waste treatment plant up along the winooski. Anyone live close to that and/or have comments?
Thanks.

I used to live in the NNE about a mile from there (West Road/Starr Farm Road) and there were never any issues with odor. I did have a regular loop run I did and noticed the odor when I ran right next to the plant at the bottom of the hill on North Ave. This would go away shortly after getting to the top of the hill (headed south on North Ave.)

I think the odor only really affects a handful of properties on the extreme north part of North Ave. If you stay outside of a quarter mile radius (maybe less) there shouldn't be any issue.

Highly recommend the NNE and think it's the best area to live in Burlington.
