I doubt if too many private sellers on eBay could store 100,000 of anything very easily.

But,I agree that the seller probably bought the items in bulk.

Yeah I wonder that too.

I guess they could be just working on volume...

Probably not something too many people want to do . Pack ship label take a package to post office for such a low profit .

I know on amazon there are sellers that sell books for a penny plus shipping and make a little money on the shipping . I guess you gotta think what your best use of time is .

Since all the Chinese products showed up on eBay and bigger companies , it's become harder to make money .

It's like a race to the bottom .

It's good for buyers for many products.

There is a black market on Craigslist for established ebay accounts in good standing. This seller could be building up his feedback in order to sell it off.

A possibility. Another possibility is maybe the guy just has a different source for his stuff. Maybe he IS getting them really cheap or they were given to him.. ? Who knows. When you run mass auctions of the same thing over and over and it is new, the listing process can really be streamlined and automated. My SIL and her husband list boat parts and keep it all in their garage. Its the same parts over and over so it is not very time consuming.

Sometimes I hit the jackpot on a van load of items where I have picked them up for $1 a piece and I know I can sell each one for $20 to $40. Love those days. For my sales category, listing is very time consuming though so I generally don't mess with anything that won't go for at least $10 or $15 and I never pay more than 1/3 of that.

eBay now charges very high exorbitant fees. Back when eBay started in the 90's, the fees were much more reasonable. For this reason, I have quit selling on eBay.

Hey, they don't call if "feebay" for nothing. Between the higher fees and the mandatory use of paypal (which ebay owns, so paypal's transaction fees are more money for eBay). Also, it always irritated me that with paypal payments it would take several days before the cash was actually in your account.

I you're not selling something genuinely unique or something which you are able to obtain via gift or inheritance, it's tough to make money on eBay.
