Now, that maybe too harsh, she does look just like one of our founding fathers, Ben Franklin.

Sure, now and you can tell me about one, single, thing, the rightwingwhackos have done for this state or country, go for it, I be listnin'.

I have never considered conservatives too bright, and I am always shown to be correct, after all, if they were smart, they would not be conservatives, hiding under the bed from the big ole bogeyman.
Whatever, man. I see that you're still singing that familiar tune about conservatives.

She lost because her conservative, regressive ideology was as repulsive as her appearance.

Didn't help that she was endorsed by Cheney or that she represented an extension of Bush for California. Didn't help her that she wasted money on an ineffective, deceptive message with ads full of lies about the opposition. Didn't help her that she was absolutely NOT quaified and clueless.

The people of this state weren't suckered into believing the usual deceptive marketing that defines GOP campaigning. Kudos to the hispanic vote here.

Well, I didn't vote for her, but I've never bought this argument. I would think she'd be able to tell the difference between her own money and the state's money, wouldn't you?

I voted for her and contributed to her campaign; Her message was missing in action; she didn't manage the firing of her nanny/live-in well at all; she also sounded like a former CEO and not a candidate; her opponent was the governor who has setup CA. for this future pension exposure and thank god that we have a Proposition 13 in CA; if you have not donated to the Howard Jarvis association we will need their help in spades if you own your house and pay property taxes in CA. Particularly if the economy starts to improve and property values recover.

The fact that she never bothered to vote for 28 years is one of the reasons I couldn't vote for her. If she didn't have time to get to the polling place, why didn't she simply mail in an absentee ballot? In addition, she didn't get around to registering to vote until she was in her mid-forties. To me, that's a huge slap in the face to those she hoped to govern.

Actually, Whitman made no pretense in her campaign about cracking down on illegal immigration. She pretty much said in one of the debates that she wasn't going to tackle the issue.

There's nothing patently false about saying that the unions put a lot of money into Brown's campaign. The evidence for that is overwhelming.

I think we have another example of ideological belief taking the place of facts.

Yep, out of a 23 million dollar campaign kitty, He got from the Prison, Fire and Police Unions, $600,000. NEA gave $1,000,000 to Brown, so far we are at $1.6 million, or far less than 10%.

We can consider that heck some other unions gave money, I think we would be hard pressed to show that Unions gave even 20%.

Individuals, Businesses, and other groups in the City of Oakland gave $8.4 million.

Interestingly top Republican Donors gave to Brown instead of to the Republican candidate.
