It's not hyperbole. It's fact. There are only so many dollars to go around and corporate America doesn't like spending them on "working Californians" (the Democrat's battle cry in every campaign) unless they absolutely have to.

Surely you're not going to claim that massive numbers of technical and production/manufacturing jobs haven't been off-shored, are you? If so, you're delusional.

For English press 1.

No I'm not making such a statement and I'm sure you're fully aware of that fact if you "pressed one for English" and understood it. Jobs are leaving more places than just California so it's not a California only problem. Tech jobs are leaving Ca. the same way many manufacturing jobs have left other states. Your argument doesn't prove anything...unless that was your intent?

Statement of fact, only, which you're proved rather than disproved. And, yes, other states are receiving the same treatment. At issue is the plethora of laws and regulations in California which make it less attractive to employers who might be state searching to locate or relolcate their businesses. Meanwhile, skilled workers are going begging. Expensive overtime requirements aren't helping.

277 corporations relocated out of CA in 2010
Over 2,700,000 did not.

Can you reduce that fraction?

Well as a person who still lives here, I don't see it so bad. If you're right and those places are leaving California for other countries, that says a lot about the flyover country where you live as surely, they would have to be better options based on what you have been saying. If India is a better choice than the flyover country AFTER California, thanks for proving mine and a lot of others points

Curious.

One of the reasons that unemployment numbers have remained so high is that employers throughout the country have found that keeping worker number low but working a lot of overtime is cheaper than hireing new employees.

Most of the people talking about how bad California is for business have never owned a business or have been any sort of executive in one. Its just one of those things people think they "just know".

When businesses do leave California its usually due to real estate costs and because some other state has offered a great set of incentives. California has a very high level of start-up activity as a result it can afford to bleed businesses.
