Idaho is a beautiful place. I've lived here for 8 years now...but yeah, I've had enough. It's just not everything we want and while the weather isn't bad, it's not nearly as nice as SoCal. I live in the same county you're referring to.

I avoided the use of "Cali" there. I made the mistake of assuming some folks here had more meaningful things to do with their time. My bad!

I work for myself now and intend to for as long as possible. This doesn't always mean that I can work from home. I could tolerate a 30 min. commute into the city...which I'm sure would mean living fairly close, in either LA or SD.

Now that we've hijacked this guys thread, maybe he'll be even more inspired to post his question on the San Diego forum.
And IDTransplant ... don't say "cali" if you want to avoid this kind of thing.
I'm asking about two different cities and...is this the mentality on these forums? Cali...California...CA. Who really cares?

San Diego has a vibrant music scene I liken it to Orange County California's music scene. I know a few Los Angelinos who have fled to SD and were able to settle in nicely and they don't seem to miss the music scene or LA much, its very similar.
