Id like to live close to the beach and mountains, within an hour either way. Looking for warm weather thats not very rainy. Hopefully not very expensive. Also need to be close to some hospitals, within an hour. Does this fantasy place exist?

Many spots exactly like that in Orange county and LA county. I have been scuba diving in the morning and snowboarding in the afternoon often.

While not the typical first choice, what about places like Salinas or Cayucos? I see places on hotpads.com that are affordable. I've been to Salinas a couple of times and didn't hate it. It's near Monterey. The weather is reasonably good too.
