Moving to Sonoma, California and would like real and honest accounting of what the weather is like; i.e., windy, humid, hot, rainy, overcast or none of the previous and simply beautiful all the time. Thanks for whatever information I can get.

Here is the temperature data for Sonoma:

SONOMA, CALIFORNIA - Climate Summary

Here is the rainfall data:

SONOMA, CALIFORNIA - Climate Summary

In general, Summers are warm to hot, sunny, and dry, with fairly cool nights. Winters are chilly and wet, with mild afternoons but cold nights with some sunny days mixed in. But there can be a wide variation in rainfall from year to year. This year so far has been quite dry, although that can always change. Spring and Fall tend to be mild and mostly sunny, with a few rainy days thrown in. Generally, September and October are the best months of the year in the Bay Area, including Sonoma (just my opinion).

In general, the humidity is moderate. It's generally quite low on summer afternoons and on hot days. It's higher in the morning or on cool, foggy, or rainy days.

It is generally not that windy, although some storms can bring wind with them, and sometimes fog moving in from the coast can bring a nagging wind, but since Sonoma is inland, it's doesn't get a lot of heavy summer fog/overcast.

Overall, it's a great climate compared to most of the US, although a bit more extreme and a bit rainier than other parts of the San Fancisco Bay Area further to the soutn.
