So I thought about it kinda, because I have a few friends who are blonde, and they are considered unique where I live, and use the fact that they are blonde as a distinctive feature where I live. I live in Santa Rosa, which is in Northern CA, and I've noticed there really aren't many blonde people. I've heard people say there are lots of blondes in California, but I really never see them. I see mainly people with black hair, or darker hair, in some parts of my city.

I don't think it matters a lot and it's a silly thing, but I found it interesting. I don't understand why people think there are a lot of blondes here, because I'd think that'd be Minnesota or Wisconsin, where there's a lot of Norwegian people. I'm half Chinese, so I have totally pitch black hair.

So would you think more Californians have black or dark hair than other hair shades or colors?

The blonde southern California beach / surfer girl is an old cliche. Thank you Hollywood.
Although Gidget (are you too young to know who that was?) was a brunette.
I think that California is similar to most states in the country.
I bet you're right about Minnesota, etc. and the Scandinavian heritage there.
And you're right, it doesn't matter at all.
But you win the award for the most silly question ever posted on the California forum.

Considering whites are a minority in California, and blondes are a minority of whites, yes, I'd say most Californians have black or dark, dark brown hair.

Most blondes are dyed hair.

Yes, the curtains and the carpet aren't always a matching pair.

Well, you know hair always looks a bit darker when wet, but I'd say the variety includes plenty of mix:

and, of course in California we have plenty of true blondes of pin-up Flashdance quality:

and if we are talking guys, well, they're not all dark-haired either:

I don't know about "black" hair, but I'd say that dark hair definitely dominates.

I've always thought the same whenever I heard the blonde Californian stereotype.

Considering that CA is one of the most diverse and lease White states in the country, it actually has one of the lowest percentages of blondes than any other state. I would say Minnesota and Wisonsin definitely dominate in terms of producing hot Blondes.

I know there's no such as real black hair, but you get what I meant. Black hair is basically really dark brown hair.
