What the hell? I live in a nice place, thank you very much!

I don't need your pity. You, on the other hand, must keep telling yourself and the rest of us how nice Las Vegas is...

And can you please quit with the faux class-warfare jargon? You're not special. You've just read too many Ayn Rand novels.

Yes, if one hates a state so much, why would they continue to come back to its forum?

Not sure what all the "if you can't afford it" elitist stuff is, but usually indicates a longing to become one...but not getting there. Might as well hit the slots.

He/she is likely one of those people who made all kinds of money in California, off of Californians, and now wants to selfishly take their money to another state where they don't have to contribute to California's well-being anymore. Lots of people do it. I am a moderate Republican and I have my own qualms with the tax structure in this state too, but I am not into the faux elitist garbage. And, I'm not into the whole "tooting my own horn" thing, either. I don't need to.

For starters, most Southern Californians moving to Phoenix and Vegas are not coming from LA, OC, and SD -- they're coming from the Inland Empire.

Well, hey, nothing liking giving back to the community that supported one's success, yes?

Although, you guys might get chased off meridians and out of parks by gators. Perilous activity.

We have every right to brag living in the IE and still being close to the beach. Can you be spontaneous and just decide to go to the beach living in Phoenix or Nevada? Nope, you have to buy your plane tickets and plan it all out. I can drive to the beach whenever the hell I want while you suffer in your inland desert.
