Cursory searches for each found the following returns using Thread Titles only, hopefully to weed out MOST redundant threads. Conversely, I did NOT run queries as "posts". So odds are that some topics are likewise NOT included here. So this HAS to be enough activity to warrant a separate section.

Bakersfield
Tulare
Porterville
Visalia
Fresno
Merced
Stockton

This is in light of this current discussion.

This will also be posted in the Mod section. I could even Mod it if needed. And I know for a fact that the bandwidth load imposed on the site will be negligible and miniscule at best. I know that for a fact considering how many categories the site as a whole is already carrying and my 5+ years experience with another Vbulletin site running essentially the same program.

Then Sacramento, Yuba City, Chico, Redding should be included too. Central valley includes San Joaquin and Sacramento Valleys.

Sac town already has it's own section and therefore would encompass Yuba, Folsom, Redding, etc.

I'm thinking generally the Hwy 99 corridor roughly from Wheeler Ridge in the south to about Lathrop, give or take in the north. This includes all the cities on my list plus a gaggle of smaller ones such as Wasco, Lemoore, Exeter, Sanger, Modesto, etc. That is the section-a large and highly populated one I might add-that is not represented here on CD.

I suggested a San Joaquin Valley Forum, which would include the areas from stockton all the way down to bakersfield.

Its been suggested before, but has never had a good response. Regions make more sense than counties. When the Monterey County subforum came about, it was suggested that it be a Central Coast subregion (Monterey/SLO/SB) which would get more use, but I never saw any official response. Would be much easier to organize threads.

Do people just read the subject line and skip straight down to reply without reading any of the actual content?

For years I suggested a Mother Lode sub forum. Never a response.

The difference between the California and Florida sub-forums is striking. It seems like every mid- and large-size metro in Florida has its own discussion area.

Which is especially odd considering the fact that California has more than twice the population of Florida.
