My guess is that he means everyone lives at the beach in "The" OC. All the women are blond, buxom, beautiful, tanned, wear nothing but string bikinis and are easy. All the guys have sun-streaked hair, six-pack abs, they're perpetually in their 20s (like the women), tanned of course, and none of them have to work. Instead they all surf. Everyone drives a convertible and ONLY a convertible. Life's a beach and it really IS an endless summer - cue in the Ventures, Jan and Dean and the Beach Boys here. 77 Sunset strip is a real address and all aspiring actors land roles. Valley girls still exist and "Cowabunga" Dude says all that's worth saying. The CHP only has motor officers and Sergeant Joe Friday is alive and well in the LAPD.
