Hey guys!

My fiance and I have dreams of successful careers and family in the future, but right now, we're relatively untethered and moving to the SLO area in September. We both love the beach and would be willing to give up any number of living conveniences to spend a year in a small beach cottage where we could wake up every morning and go down to the beach. I see beach cottage rentals, do any of them have 12 month leases? Where could we look for a decent price? We're most comfortable in the $1,200/month range, up to $1,500 if something is amazing.

I live in Pismo, but I'm in the hills. The area closest to the beach gets more fogged over. Shell Beach is a quieter beach than Pismo Beach.

Pismo is a great beach town with mostly retirees and some young families. Pismo has an elementary school and middle school, so there are families here. The regional high school is in Arroyo Grande which holds up to 2,700 students. There is also an overflow tech high school in Nipomo just built.
