California gun-control bills advance in Sacramento - San Jose Mercury News
Let me be honest, I am not a gun enthusiast. But IMO it's the fight that the "law abiding" gun owners make, is what makes it easy for the criminal element to have access to get the guns to do what they do. I may be wrong, but that is how I see it from my perspective.

Well, yeah. But a more pertinent question may be: "Can citizens use taser guns and not get arrested?"

"CA is about to become the toughest state on guns" is a really good tourism advertisement for foreigners, I've gotta say.

Actually, replacing some of our gun-nut teabaggers with folks from places that don't obsess on firearms just might be a welcome thing.

I think it is funny you say this in the Yee thread and just hours later start calling people gun-nut teabaggers

You really think a slur against people with disabilities is equal to "gun-nut teabaggers"? One is a lifestyle choice, the other is not.

How tough can they really get, all I have to do is have a PO box in Oregon and take a nice weekend drive to get my guns and ammo. I heard they banned the barrett M82 as well, just go to Oregon or Arizona and get one. Unless the cops in Cali are starting to get like Nazi SS which I doubt for 90% of the land mass.

I drove across the boarder from Oregon to Cali and it was pretty non eventful.

Homicide rates in the US continue to drop, without registration. Australia's near ban on guns did not change the homicide rate. It was declining before their giant buyback/ban and continues to do so at the same rate.
