well....have you considered learning?? It's not that hard to ski/snowboard. You could learn in a day and be pretty good after a season. It's like learning to ride a bike.

I have tried once before, and was better than I had anticipated. I’m definitely open for trying again this season. I get the vibe that there is a subculture based on skiing…I guess I am nervous about not fitting into that aspect of the area. …Thanks 4 the posts…

Yeah give it a shot. Recreational skiing is easy and very fun. I try and make it at least once a season.

You'd be surprised at the number of people that live there that don't ski. I wouldn't worry about it unless you have a need to be around him at all times and can't let him ski on his own.

I lived there and didn't ski. Many of my friends didn't either. If you want to learn, great, but you'll fit in just fine. It's a great place to live.

...good stuff. I def have no problem w/him hittin' the slopes by himself. I think I'll have a go at it recreationally....if it doesn't work out then there are plenty of other activities that I'm looking forward to.
