I have a 1992 honda accord. I've paid all the fees but it won't pass smog. How much does it cost to get a tempoary tag from dmv in sacramento? I thought they were free then someone told me they were 50.00 dollars

A Temporary Operating Permit for smog-only is indeed $50. If you're in the midst of registration and just need a quick smog you can get a free one-day permit. If you need longer than that, you'll have to pay the fee.
