Recently built new in Sylmar, Starbucks, 99 cents, Food For Less. Smart & Final, Thrifty there's more that I can't think of now.
I read somewhere a while ago that Sylmar has a high percentage of home owners, there isn't a lot of apartments, sure a lot of these are small old houses on small lots but their still homeowners.
I love how you equate poor people to Hispanics. Stayin classy, V8.

You might want to look into your data sources a bit more. Per LA Times:
69.8% Latino
20.7% White

But they should decriminalize hiding out in your car and blasting the first scumbag who smashes in your window.

Are you saying it is 50/50 because your assumption is that white people make up 50% because they are the ones buying the houses?

I didn't say poor people are Hispanics.
I live here and have for 25 years, I shop, bank, walk, drive in Sylmar and I'll stand by my 50-50 estimate. The Times is wrong.

The Times disnt just make those numbers up. Those are US Census Bureau statistics.

But I'm sure you know more than them...right?

ROFL.

I applaud you V8, even when shown to be factually incorrect you just won't give up. You must be a real peach at your bible study sessions.

If just adults, visible adults, it would probably be closer to that, but when you count children, even with the drop in child birth among Hispanics, they overall total will move closer to the LA times data. You can't just go on what you see.
