Why isn't this international news? Why does the Syrian crisis get more coverage than this? Why?

Supreme leader, hmm. Guy got elected, twice, wasn't even close either time. Guess that does not please some people. That's democracy for you. Unemployment is down big time under his watch, though maybe some people think that's entirely false, that everything is worse, and that invisible dinosaurs also prance around among us while we sleep.

Say what you want about Obama as president (he's disappointed me and yet, imo, better him than the alternatives) but it's my sense that he's got a really good wife and two intelligent and well balanced daughters. The o.p. was just sharing a little story re; California. Why such cynicism from people? It (cynicism) is one of the worst things that's happened to this culture. There's a difference between being aware of the darker side of human nature and being cynical.
