Perma, if you are from the Bay Area, you will not survive in a place like Barstow or Fontana (culturally, anyway). Start with a condo.

Some parts of the Inland Empire. I think the farther you get from Los Angeles and San Diego the cheaper it gets.

Yeah, but Prop 13 is the most significant reason. Both cases wouldn't have anywhere near those low totals without Prop 13.
