That's great news. Is there any info on what those jobs are and how much they pay?

What? Hiring and jobs are improving even after California passes a HUGE increase in the minimum wage?

How can that be, after all the conservative armchair economists on C-D waggled their fingers at California and said the Golden State's economy was going to crater. Guess they were wrong... ;-)

You should have seen how puffed up they were with themselves during the great recession proclaiming that was the end of California! The states was falling into the ocean once and for all and the crazy liberals along with it. Any time someone posted something positive no matter how small or large, the haters dissed it as an aberration to their prophetic message of gloom and doom. If only we followed TX, et al... Surely moonbean Brown was going to be the final nail in CA's coffin! lol Why not bring in Rick Perry, Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz or Donald Trump to really fix things? Hahaa

Here's some information on how the job recovery earnings were averaging as of two years ago:
Quote:
A High-Wage Job Revival?
We’ve mentioned the low-paying industries like warehouse clubs and supercenters that have added a large number of jobs. But to get a better gauge on job growth by wage level in California, it’s best to look at detailed occupations, not industries.
Recommended by Forbes

Nearly a quarter (23%) of California’s 904,000 new jobs from 2010 to 2013 came in occupations that pay at least $30 per hour at the median level. From 2012 to 2013, that share was 26%. The best growth among these high-paying occupations belongs to general and operations managers (19,000 jobs added). Registered nurses, software developers, accountants and auditors, and market research analysts have also done well. All pay between $32 to $51 per hour in median earnings in California.

Going down the pay scale a notch, 31% of new jobs from 2010 to 2013 came in occupations that pay between $15 and $29.99 per hour. That means 54% of new jobs from 2010 to 2013 pay at or above $15 per hour.

From 2012 to 2013, however, the share of new jobs that pay at least $15 per hour jumped to 67%. So California firms have more recently created a larger share of high-wage jobs.
That’s good news for the nation’s largest state economy — and for the U.S. overall.

Forbes Welcome
And here are the breakdowns of job growth and pay scales for last year, continuing the trend:
Quote:
California seasonally-adjusted job growth rates over the past year, as reported by BLS, exceeded the nationwide growth rate for 13 of the 18 job sectors we track, as illustrated below. (Among these 13 job sectors, California's strongest annual job growth rates are in the technology-heavy professional and technical services sector and construction.) Aug. 2015 Jobs Report: California Job Gains Continue
Mostly pretty healthy scale.

If you like growth, break out your champagne.
Not for me. I don't drink.
