It doesn't sound like you were inconvenienced ...

Yep. In my house. Usually get paid about $2000 a day.

Yes. Recently we were in Long Beach near the aquarium while an episode of The Fosters was being filmed. They had taken over a huge section of the pedestrian walking area to where no one could get around them. They eventually chased everyone out of the (public!) area because they were doing a wide shot. I was trying to use the (public!) restroom before we headed home and they chased me away from there too.

My place of work became a huge location shoot for nearly a month. I didn't mind though. I'm a filming gear geek!

Ha, that'd be pretty neat.

So how did you do? So many times you see people in the background looking directly at the camera. lol

I see filming crews sometimes, but I can't ever remember being inconvenienced by them. My SO's mom lived in this older apartment building in downtown Long Beach, and the crew from Ally McBeal blocked off an area there for a while once, as they were filming right on the streets and in the alley next to her place.

The show Dexter did a ton of filming in Long Beach. One of the interior scenes was shot in a restaurant/bar we used to hang out at all the time, but we never saw them.

So, no, not really, that I can recall.

I once had to bring foreclosure papers to a house that was being used for filming the same day.

It was in Valley Village, as I remember.

Yes, and you will crack up when I tell you where it was - Redding! When I went to interview for a senior apartment downtown, I had to park several blocks away, and use a back entrance into the senior apartment building downtown, because they were in the middle of filming some si-fi, zombie movie in the street out front of the senior apt building in downtown Redding.

When they showed me the apartment, we could see the actors taking a break just below the apartment on the street below.

That was about 3 years ago. They'd blocked off the whole downtown area. The scene was of an apocalypse type scene, with vehicles all messed up and parked crazy. I thought there had been some type of major traffic accident LOL.
