A few of his pictures have some pretty heavy smog. On one you can barely see the hills ahead.

We do have beauty all over the state.

A childhood friend lives in the IE and loves it. He owns a home here on the coast as well that is rented out. A bit too hot for my taste though. I would think you would need an air conditioner in your home if you want to live out there.

Talk about a 30 year old comment. Where do you live? The smog in the IE is 100 times better than when I moved here 30 years ago. I can see the mountains most days now. Not the case then.

Most smog is not visible but it is there. Visible is just way worse and ... try flying in and looking down as you enter SoCal and you will see the visible smog, you can't from the ground. Better than in the past yes, good no.

So Cal will always have some smog due to the ocean influence going up against the moutains. No matter what we do we won’t totally eliminate it.
