When business's expenses go up, where do you think that money comes from?

Apparently California IS that world. Glad it's there and not in my world

Split Roll would have pretty devastating effects on taxpayers as well. Costs of business would go up, which would be passed onto... yup, you guessed it.

Those that couldn't financially pass the cost would leave and take their jobs (and tax contributions) with them. See New York and Illinois.

Still not enough money to foot the bill for funding illegal alien healthcare. Prop 13 for homeowners is hanging on by a literal thread.

Oh I know. I took Econ 101 in school so I'm well aware increases are passed along to us at the bottom of the food chain.

Yup, didn't have to guess as I stated in my response to ysr_racer. It's always been that way and anyone who doesn't see it should take the blinders off or maybe they simply make enough money to weather the storm. Don't know and don't care. My vote hasn't been able to change the direction of this state and I don't foresee it happening ever again in my lifetime. Time to take care of me now.

Taxpayers in California have a severe case of Stockholm Syndrome.

Without the mandate, health insurance prices for individual policy carriers will just keep going up.

Who is voting for these idiots? Forcing everyone to buy expensive healthcare coverage is not the same as giving everyone healthcare. Also not the proper function of government.

No one is "giving" anyone health care coverage. We all pay through the nose for it, including for those who don't have any health insurance.

Wrong. It's will be given away to people who are in the country illegally now, to people who remit most of their income across the border so it's largely untaxed, and yes you will be paying through the nose for it (as will all California taxpayers).
