So I mentioned earlier that my gf and I will be moving to the San Luis Obispo area in early 2019.
She's an SLP.

Does anyone here know anything about the job market for Speech Language Pathologists in SLO?
Anyone to avoid or try to work for in particular?

That is an extremely specific question. You might have better luck seeing if there is a special forum for this topic somewhere else on the interwebs and posting your question there. Good luck!

As a Speech Language Pathologist, your girlfriend should be the one to do the research. I'm sure she has more contacts than any of us do, unless someone on this board is an actual SLP. I'm sure she'll have to get a California license so she should be looking into that. SLP positions pay well here.

The job market for Speech Pathologists is great virtually everywhere in the country for those working for school districts. Find the district nearby that pays the most and talk to the special education director. After that, a short conversation with an employee in that position regarding caseload and that should settle it.

The school districts here in California all utilize edjoin.org to post their jobs vacancies if she wants to browse around.
