What about Pleasanton itself?? It's a nice,safe upper middle class town
. Why commute and pay $4/gal for gas. There are apartment complexes near the Stoneridge Mall. Dublin would be a good second choice. Forget about Blackhawk. It's a gated community with million dollar mansions around a golf course and no rentals.

Thanks a lot, for the pointer.. I checked Pleasanton, and find for a $1000+, I need something cheaper, no luxury! I will continue to hunt in Dublin as well. Thanks a lot

You'll find that the rent around Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, etc. is pretty much the same and $1000/month sounds about right for rent in that area.

. Why commute and pay $4/gal for gas. There are apartment complexes near the Stoneridge Mall. Dublin would be a good second choice. Forget about Blackhawk. It's a gated community with million dollar mansions around a golf course and no rentals.
