California is very very green

And there is more snow now than a year ago.

Fascinating

There are even patches of green in the desert. From now through May is the beautiful time of the year, in my opinion. Always wish the people who visit in August or September and sneer about how ugly and brown it is could see it now.

We're supposed to be getting more rain around Sunday but the county is over 4" short of season average so we still need it.

I wonder how of the various aquifer recharge plans have actually been implemented for this water year. What is in place this water year that wasn't in place last year?

Mine, as well. It may be chilly but it's green and beautiful.

According to the NWS records, both LA locations have received twice the normal amount of rainfall so far this wet season. I got to tell you, I didn't think that was going to happen. Again.

While checking I realized this year is already way above last years totals.

Which are “both LA locations “?

This is from today’s Orange County Register. Less than an inch above normal here.

I have no idea. But certainly the unplanned return of Lake Tulare added a huge amount of water to the south Central Valley

While most of the unwelcome water is now either pumped out or in the ground, this is the time last year when the Zombie Lake began to rise from the grave.
