I flew into town the other afternoon and from the PNW and was afraid I would be in miserable 100plus degree weather.
It barely broke 70 in Danville yesterday and today here at Half Moon Bay it’s upper 50’s.
I’m a wimp to the heat and spend my summers up north because of that.

Are you all liking these coolish temps or are they too darn cold for you?
Me I’m doing tee shirts in it and consider it natural AC.

I'm with you, Andy. Growing up in Berkeley, I'm programmed for cool weather. I LOVE Santa Cruz, for that reason! I'd never manage out where you are, on the other side of the East Bay hills, except for anomalies like the current cool temps; unusual for August. Actually, even Seattle was too hot for me in the summers; the 2nd half of the summer most years was in the 80's, occasionally grazing 90. I'd flee to the Bay Area at that time of year, back to nice, cool 70's temps. Aaaaahhhhhhhh.

You picked yourself a good location on the Oly Peninsula, there, too. My ideal would be Pt Townsend, if it weren't for the pulp mill.

I grew up in Lafayette where it was always in the 90s in August and almost always 105 when school started in September. One day last week it was considerably warmer here in Sammamish than at my sister's in Walnut Creek.

In my best Homer Simpson imitation.....why you little!...

One word....envy! Lucky you Andy. 50's are too chilly for my taste, but I'd trade you in a heartbeat right now.

San Diego checking in:

Star Date log, 4 weeks without mist and cold wind. A perfect 75 for days now. It's about time.

Good timing for your visit, Andy, and wonderful to have great weather. I enjoyed the last week immensely. Tomorrow and Sunday are not going to be as much fun but that's the way things go here in the valley. You take the bad with the good when it comes to temps. Although, every night it's been cooling down with that glorious delta breeze. I even went out last night and watched the moon rise. A great big orange harvest moon like that tells me Fall is not too far away.

Mid to high 80s, leaning humid is my feel-good weather and it's been about that where I'm at for a couple weeks. Long overdue after that horrible extended winter that deprived San Diego of a real spring.
