I'd just like to say thank you to Mayor Newsom for his offer to come to Bakersfield himself and marry the gay and lesbian couples who will apparently inundate the marriage license office looking to get married. I can't wait to get to San Francisco in August for college. Hey, since Ann Barnett is completely incapable of doing her job, maybe Mayor Newsom can take over? I'm all for that. Don't despair fellow Bakersfieldians, Mayor Newsom will help us out in our time of need. Link below:

I really doubt that will happen, Bakersfield is looking into passing an ordinance so they won't have to marry same sex partners.
