I wanted to attend one, but I could not. On Cavuto this afternoon I watched a live feed from Sacramento. I'm glad there are at least some people paying attention to what government is doing to us. Ultimately, it shall take more than protest signs and mock tea dumpings, but those things are a start for some.

I tried to go, but I couldn't find a good parking space for my Lamborghini. If they are going to do events like this for rich people like myself, they really should offer valet.

I'm just not sure why the same people who choose to protest now that a Democrat is doing the spending didn't organize a protest when it was a Republican blowing up the deficit and approving the initial bailout. It just seems like a partisan protest now - and somewhat ironic when tax breaks are already showing up in paychecks for many in the middle class workforce. Had there been protests under both Presidents, I'd see it as being much more credible. It appears to be the equivalent of an anti-war protest happening just after 9/11, protesting more against the party in power, not the principle.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for lower taxes and more responsible spending, but isn't this a good time to offer the new President the benefit of the doubt like Bush received in his first major crisis? I suppose party lines will always spark opposition no matter what.

Even though I don't find this protest very credible, I can at least appreciate people standing up and banding together for something they believe in. It's something you don't see enough of these days.

Love it. Where were these same patriots when their Neo-Con representative was outspending every president in history for 7 years? Government spending is only OK as long as it's a Republican. I saw a sign that said 'Taxation Without Representation' and couldn't resist laughing for about 5 minutes. But overall - I'm happy - I was a history major in college and I commend any daft American for attempting to connect modern events with some sembelence of historical roots, even if they have little idea what it really means.

I agree with Ludachris. Not many people had too much to say to the guys that brought us to this situation in the first place. Just like with most things people want to tear down the person thats trying to lead them. Not to sound to out there. All through history whenever a man or woman stood up to lead the people good or bad there are always the ones who will say "are we doing the right thing?. "Why don't we just stay where we are , it's much more comfortable there." The people of the U.S. and really the world have to adjust their comfort zones. Especially those of us who are in the middle class and working poor.

It just bothers me that Bush got a free pass on spending from those who support the Republican party for so long. And yet now that Obama is spending the bailout money that Bush approved, those same people are protesting his efforts. Seems a little hypocritical, doesn't it?

A lady I work with told me one day how scared Obama makes her because he is a socialist... and yet, when I asked her if she was scared when Bush was passing the Patriot Act, she didn't seem to mind that one. How much of her fear is justified and how much of it is just biased based on her party loyalty? Party lines seem to create more bias than rational thought these days in my opinion. A Republican and Democrat can make the exact same statement and one can be right on or way off base depending on which spectator you ask.

isn't it tiring when these protests don't allow us to just drive by in our chauffeured limos on our way to our pedicure appointment

The meager turnouts in LA were pathetic & a signal that taxes are the least of the problems facing California when unemployment is still going up. FOX news had to inflate turn-out numbers to justify their own treason.

Should we continue to raise taxes when people are strugling as it is? Most people are cutting back. If the state or Feds raise additional taxes most will cut back even more. Then the State will need to raise taxes even more. We are now the most taxed state in the nation.
