We are more than happy to share our Ventura County sub-forum until they get their own I have been trying to make postings about the Santa Barbara area, but can't do it all on my own

I think the new sub-forum should have been titled "Central Coast", and could cover the areas between Camarillo and San Luis Obispo, which would include Ventura and Santa Barbara.

But what do I know??

Except that that would have left out areas like Monterey/Carmel, which are definitely Central Coast.

I think it really depends on the amount of posts each area gets. I would think the Fresno area would be next in line, seeing how everyone LOVES the place I have a friend who is trying to move there, and he keeps bugging me with questions about a place that is 3 hours away from me. BLAH!

Yeah, there was a thread discussing this in the admin zone. And an admin said it is not based on requests for a forum or population but number of posts. So if they see more posts for Ventura, the Central Coast, Frenso, etc... then a new forum will be created.

I think there is a big need for a Central Coast forum which would cover Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Luis Obispo counties. There are a lot of threads for this combined region. I get a lot of questions about Monterey alone. And I know there some debate on where the Central Coast begins. But for me it's pretty obvious once one drives north of Santa Barbara (proper) and reaches the rolling hills of the Central Coast. You have far fewer people and a different, more layed back culture.
