Bonjourrrr!
Right, at the moment I'm 16 and living in England and my family is currently planning a move to America.
We're planning to move either to Strawberry (coolest named city EVER) in California, or somewhere like Crescent City, California, and I was wondering what the temperatures around there were like.
Also I'm still in the dark as to what the education system in America is like and I'm hoping someone could shed some light on this since when we do move, I'll be going into high school as a senior (I think...)
Thank you!

Those are odd choices. Never having been to Strawberry, it would be my instant choice between the two.

It's on Hwy 50 near Twin Bridges? - unless there is another one I don't know about.

Yeah, the only Strawberry, CA seems to be southwest of South Lake Tahoe. I could appreciate living there, but I'm not sure that would be the stuff of most 16 yr. old girl's dreams. It must be pretty there!

Correction. There's a Strawberry, CA near Mill Valley.
That makes the choice even easier.

As for Crescent City, it's on the coast and the weather is cool and wet, often foggy with very green landscape - maybe much like it is for you in England.

Weird, you mean Strawberry village in Mill Valley?

I'll bet she means the Strawberry near Tahoe.
Crescent City is way far away from Strawberry, don't understand the logic there.
Odd choices, both.
Why on earth would a 16 year old just pick up an move to either one of those towns from England?
Is this for real?

Just a guess since google brings it up. Wikipedia says the 2000 census for the other Strawberry is zero, so I suspect Mill Valley is the place she's referring to.

There's a Strawberry in Marin too..oh just noticed that bellalunatic already mentioned it.

Its an unincorporated area but a Census Designated Place(CDP).

I used to drive thru it everyday when I was living in Tiburon. Its alright I guess. Nothing bad to say. The water and hills are pretty too.

There isn't much of a town in Strawberry near Tahoe, some vacation cabins and cafe.
