I don't hire employees (only contractor) because there are too many taxes and laws. I formed a DBA instead of an LLC to avoid "the minimum tax."

I don't bother with paperwork for contractors if I pay them less than $500 (no write off but no hassle).

I report minimal income to the IRS and state. I like clients that pay in cash.

I am also curious if any of you Califonians don't pay taxes or skip fees or regulations as a form of revolt.
My, my! Aren't you clever?

People like you make me sick. They're takers.

Needless to say, I am suprised by the responses thus far. It's like you're saying, "President Hussien Obama, Please Tread On Me! Step on my face and take all my cash." You love nothing but less freedom.

Dumb ****, try thinking before you post, or better yet, stop posting and sink back into your mire.

Fo reelz. Last I checked, taxes are the price we pay for supporting the needed infrastructure to support the comfortable standard of living in a developed first-world nation. But, if you still have beef with paying for the privileges you so wholeheartedly use, allow me to make a few suggestions:

- Don't drive on paved streets or highways.
- Don't call 911.
- Don't bring your garbage to the curb.
- Don't fly in an airplane that uses air-traffic controllers.
- Don't use the court system.
- Don't expect the military to defend your country.
- Don't call the police when you get robbed.
- Don't use the US Post Office or send your letters via FedEx or UPS.
- Don't visit national parks or hike in national forests.
- Don't eat USDA inspected meat, cheese, eggs or produce.
- Don't take any medications tested and approved by the FDA.
- Don't drink, wash, bathe in or make any use of water from municipal water systems.
- Don't look at or relay a weather report.

Given enough time for brainstorming we can think of probably 30947859838743234 more ideas for a tax-free lifestyle so if you need any help, just let me know.

Thank you, that was a great post.

Don't call the fire department when your house lights up.
Don't live in a wooden house, your wood came from a National Forest
If you boat, or cruise, make sure all navigation aids are ignored, ignore lighthouses, channel markers, and if you get in to trouble because you ignored what you hate, don't call the Coast Guard.

(as a side note, perhaps the poster could list the new taxes that the President has put into place, help us understand the source of his hatred)

LOL....less freedom?

Less freedom was when GWB started listening to our phone calls, reading our e-mails, monitoring our bank accounts and looking at what library books we checked out.

That
is less freedom.

Some of you deserve to have President Obama tread on your damn faces for all the damage you've done.

And take all your damn cash while he's at it.

Sure. That's what I fought for in my country's armed forces and many have died for. NOT! You still make me sick!

I'm just wondering if the OP is registered to vote? If so, remember this is a democratic republic and the majority rules. Sounds like at the moment you're not in the majority.
