Hello Folks,

I'm looking for anyone who worked for the Lockheed Overseas Corporation, based at an airbase called Langford Lodge in Northern Ireland during the years 1942 - 1945, I am an amateur historian and have been researching this airfield for the past 10 years and the personnel that were based there, I would love to hear from anyone that knew of someone that spent time there, or spent time at Langford yourself, I have a wealth of pictures and archive film I would be willing to share.

many thanks.

Will Lindsay

Default Langford

My father worked there and I have a yearbook from 1942-1943 that is signed by many of his co-workers. Would that help?

Default Langford Lodge

My father worked there during those years, met my mother (an Irish girl) married her and brought her home in 1944. My father worked in the purchasing department and has many stories. He just turned 90 on May 19 and is still very sharp. His name is Roy Payne and he used to go to the reunions. Let me know if you would like to talk to him and I'll arrange it. Debbie Payne

Default Lockheed - Ireland

My Dad worked for Lockheed and went to Ireland during the war. His name was William Willard "Bud" Des Lauriers. We still have his dog tag. Would the information on it be helpful? I don't think we have any photos taken over there, but would love to see anything you're willing to share.

My father, Anthony T. Nunamaker, sent me a card that said that he had arrived safely at the Lockheed Corp., APO 636, AAF Station S-597. I can read only part of the date (194?). That is all that I can contribute. We did, however receive a Christmas card from Ireland shortly after receiving that card.

My Dad, Barney Kaminer, was @Langford Lodge during WWll for Lockheed. My son & 2 grandchildren have plans on going to Northern Ireland sometime next summer (didn't quite make it last year). I have been in contact with a gentleman in the Belfast area who belongs to a group of aviation buffs. They publish a newsette -- Ulster Airmail (Ulster Aviation Society). I hope this helps. Please let me know if you find any info on Langford Lodge. I contacted a few departments at Lockheed and was not able to obtain any info.

I have a comic book my father brought back from the war, called "Log of the L.o.c man" signed by many of the men who were there with him. Plus photo's of his time there. If anyone has any idea of what this book is worth please contact me at jnaselroad@juno.com
Many thanks
