Just how we like it!

Anyone looking for signs that the economy is turning around, might want to look at what appears to be happening in Southern California's technology jobs market. According to numerous local CEOs, startup executives, and recruiters, the number of open positions for technical--and other-- talent at local companies has surged in recent months, and there's a wild scramble to find the right employees.

Great news.

Montclair, where do you get your information? I mean, how do you look for this stuff? If I'm making any sense here... I want to keep myself posted and well informed, also.

I agree it seems to be doing better. I worked in Irvine for a few years in tech, and keep in touch with many old co-workers over there. It does seem business is picking up, and more are hiring. The problem is it's still expensive to live in Irvine, which is why we moved farther out several years ago.

But there's still way more job seekers compared to the number of new openings, so it's still fiercely competitive and not easy to get these jobs.

You'll see lots of job openings with aerospace companies in Southern California. Companies are paying relocation expenses to hire people from out of state.
