In all honesty-Why did I spent so much time learning about the US and its culture when a nation which is far more appealing in every aspect sits there right on top!

Why does this matter? I ask this because it seems that so many liberals are race obsessed; for crying out loud the Canadian government even has a legal term called "visible minorities"; that is so offensive to me.
Well, When I was in Vancouver and I would meet up random folks and the conversation would veer towards this issue, they did ask me if she was white and how did we guys end up being together.I did not mean to offend anyone.
For me race, nationality or skin colour are redundant issues not even worth considering-Its the person that matters be it love or friendship.

I remember a friend of mine who immigrated to Canada from Germany in the late 70's telling me how beautiful he thought Canadian were, and by that he said he meant the range of ethnicity and culture in Canada.
