No, we have universal access to healthcare paid for through tax revenues. It definitely isn't free.

The most expensive motorcycle you can buy is a free one. That applies to other stuff too.

What's with this ignorance that "Canada is too cold".... 90% of the canadian population (31 million people) live within 2 hours or less from the US border. Quit the stupid stereotypes that Canadians live in igloos and it's -40C all year round. Today in Toronto it's even warmer than LA.

Take a CLOSE look at the population density of Canada. Do most people imagine people living in the far nothern arctic due to their ignorance?

The largest urban area in Canada (GTA and Southern ontario) live more south geographically than about 10% of the American population.

Wondering if anyone wants to trade my US citizenship for a Canadian one? Haha.
isn't there a law that hospitals in the US have to treat you whether you are insured or not?

if you go to an emergency room and the hospital takes public funding they are required to take care of you. if you can't pay they put you on a payment plan. i know an illegal immigrant who had a stroke and all he could pay was 50 bucks a month and that is what he pays. i can tell you horror stories of non payment that my 3 ER doctors tell me, but we'd seriously go off topic.

And while it may have been warmer in Toronto today than LA.. it doesn't mean Toronto is warmer overall... LOL... and I don't think its a stereotype that people think Canadians live in igloos. And truthfully. Canada does not really have any warm areas in the winter time. I know I know Vancouver rarely snows.. but its still dreary in the winter.

So for me I chose the US if you have private healthcare for me... I hate to say this despite the fact that I love Canada (I just left Toronto a month ago for a job in New England) and I sigh with happiness every time I cross the border and see my first maple leaf flag.. there also seems to be a reason as to why many Canadian artists who want to make it big come to the states..

Settle down Nancy, eh? Canada is colder than where most Americans live.
Nobody said it was 40 below. Lots of Americans don't want to live in Upstate NY, Michigan or Wisconsin because they're too cold as well.

Yeah Nancy. I live 2 hours from the US border but it still gets damn cold here from November to April, so I winter down in Phoenix. Best of both worlds IMHO.

As things stand, Canada looks pretty darn good. If the USA changes some some foreign and domestic policies, I will be happy to stay home.

I'm not worried about the Canadian weather. I'm from Minnesota
