Lets see theres Mrs Marois and the newly installed separatist government,
A new beefed up Bill101 up coming
A secular charter in the works
Pesky Anglos down to a mere 8%
The students are getting their tuition raise abolished
Hunting season about to start.
Sounds like paradise.

Check my profile you'll see where i mostly post.
As for loving Quebec? i do, its N. Americas best kept secret, amazing place, my only problem is with a dysfunctional government that seems to think its ok to eradicate other cultures through insane and unneeded language laws.its rather pathetic and an insult to Anglophones/allophones and Francophones alike, i enjoy pointing out and poking fun at the lunacy of its laws and objectives.
Next time you want a vacation take a tour of the Gaspe,or go on a whale watching tour in Tadoussac then on for a scenic drive to Natasquan or do some remote fishing/hiking/camping in any one of the thousands of lakes in Quebec's vast wilderness.
Next couple of weeks will produce an amazingly colorful drive up through the Laurentians
(i recommend rt 327 from Lachute to Ste Jovite) .Quebec's beauty rivals anything on the continent and its going to be a damn shame to leave it if it ever decides to separate from Canada,a situation i feel has become inevitable ....
Not really, my guess is support for separatism is not high enough. Things will get better once the NDP creates a provincial party there.
I wish you were right but i dont share your optimism as 40+ years of residency here i've only seen more and more Xenaphobia from the PQ and a steady decline of the once flourishing Anglo culture.
Now that the PQ are back in power their main focus seems to be beefing up Bill101 and enlarging the OLF with more language police even though the Anglo presence only represents 8% of the population.
With Quebecs dislike of all things Anglo and Canadian and Canadas being fed up with Quebec whining for more powers and money i really dont see any relevance or point to Quebec continuing to remain in Canada.
