MIG welding and stick welding (SMAW = Shielded Metal Arc Welding) would be by far the most usable for finding work. Usually, skills in both are listed in the welding job openings. You will do more SMAW in rough metal handling and large civil projects, and more MIG welding in finer metalworking projects, but skills in both would be pre-requisites. A diploma or certification is usually required. TIG is sort of a sideline, also quite often listed.

Steamfitting/pipefitting would be the best professions to acquire to work in the oilfields.

Thanks for the reply
anyway I'm going to get a welding certificate from the Italian Institute
But I do not find SMAW in Courses List
But I want to know
Is the welding profession dangerous?
I understand from your words
MIG welding less dangerous
What are the dangerous sections in the welding profession

google search "dangers of welding "
http://www.welding-rod-dangers.com/e...e/exposure.htm
Is Welding Dangerous? (with pictures)
Welding Health Hazards

my S/O part of his work is welding, he has been doing this since 16 and is now 54 yrs he says , so here goes is a lot of rules regulations concerning safety is learned during training
always using all the protection is important , especially the eyes see the links I send
the fumes require good ventilation
always work in a safe place
he has worked shipyards , aircraft industry , machine building , etc
minor burns come with the job
some years ago do not remember which country welders became overcome by fumes in an enclosed space with not good ventilation and they died and very long ago a toddler entered a small workplace and got welding gas cylinders fall onto him and died. So welding has its dangers. My S/O says get as many certificates as you can is always work in welding all over the world. Good welders are very much wanted in the metal industry.

1)
Here is the Program Outline for a "Pre-Apprentiship Welding Technician" 24-week Course
at S.A.I.T. It'll give you something to start with.

Welding Technician | SAIT Polytechnic | Calgary, Alberta

2)
After passing the above program, graduates can register as an apprentice in the Welder apprenticeship (WEP) program.
