He's also done one in Toronto and Vancouver as well and probably some others. Sounds like this CNN show or bit is about Canadian food in general.
I tried to find the interview but couldn't. I remember him saying that the couldn't understand why Canadian chefs and restaurants were not better known in the world. What reminded me of that statement was that once again Canada did not rate in the top 100 restaurants of the world from I believe Restaurant magazine.

The restaurants rating industry like Michelin and other elite publications are very Euro-Centric, and only recently started including American and Japanese restaurants in their listings. The fact that no restaurants in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver are on the radar just shows how biased these ratings people are.

I also read that they don't judge Canada as a country, but lump us in with the mid-western U.S. which includes Chicago. That alone is strange.
Another Canadian columnist gave a few other reasons, a lot of them I think off base, but one was consistency in quality and service. Hmmmm. Then why did the number one restaurant in the list have this happen?

Did anyone here besides me watch this show Sunday night? It came on at 9:00 Eastern and Pacific Times.
Anthony spent most of his time with the two guys who own "Joe Beef" Restaurant in Montreal. I took notes, but I don't have them with me! Anthony must have a very generous expense account with CNN!
