I doubt any one pays attention or even cares as its not like a song or a tv show is overtly labeled as being Canadian.so to most the Canadian content rules are just not that obvious so i dont really see the point in having them or keeping them, just another instance whereby Canadian talent can stand on its own merits rather than have silly legislation to artificially prop the product up.....

In fact CAN CON has not been constant since it's inception, and I'm sure nobody noticed.

For one very obvious reason. It stimulates the production of, writing of, acting of and everything else done in creating "entertainment".

It also promotes Canadian culture in many ways.

So, that "hoser" on the street benefits indirectly by the general advancement of Canadian culture made in Canada for Canadians.

Hosers?

Good grief.

Why would hosers care about Canadian content regulations?

LOL ...... hosers probably wouldn't even know what it is or what it means. Much less the hoser on the street.

Uuummmm ..... do you know what a hoser is?

I don't know what that show was but if it's Canadian it's probably not as much of a stinker as that revolting Honey Boo Boo show. Now that is something that never should have been allowed to be produced and it definitely should be canned.
