Just dropping in to wish you all a happy Canada Day! Like everywhere else, Canada has major issues to address, but overall it’s a civil, sensible country and a wonderful place to live. I’m returning to the US next month, but thank you so much for accepting me the past couple years; my time here was about as great as it could be given this stupid pandemic. Keep improving as a nation, keep addressing your problems, but please don’t tear yourselves down; you deserve to celebrate!

Both my summers here were marred by covid, so unfortunately I never got to see any Canada Day celebrations, but I did wear red and white and enjoy local berries while relaxing at Stanley Park!

It was a pretty sad Canada day for various reasons. The depressing news about residential schools, the pandemic, the heat wave and the habs trailing in the playoffs made a sad Canada day.

I definitely see what you mean. To be honest, I didn’t really wake up in a celebratory mood, but I figured I’d try to make the most of it since it was my last Canada Day. But these are hard times for sure.

I was happy to be here for Canada Day. Last year I couldn't come to Canada because of the pandemic and the family exemptions were not yet in place. I bought a Canada flag I put on my window in NJ.

This year I am here, and so grateful to be. A quiet day. Took some photos of birds. About five boats made up a little parade around the lake and waved to people in their yards. S.O. and I sat out in the screened-in porch to avoid mosquitoes and listened to music at the end of day.

Have a safe trip home, and you must come back and visit and see more of the province.

I had the quietest Canada Day in years...perhaps ever in my adult life.

It was a cloudy day, so my beach plans were cancelled, so I stayed in and did housework. I did put up my Canada Flag in a window though.

Today back to sun, so I'm out of here to enjoy the day.
