New Teacher looking into Canada (credit, college, licensed)

Hi all!

I'm a licensed American English teacher (From Michigan) who is considering teaching in Canada, preferably in Ontario. Our local economy is in bad shape, and I think Canada is an awesome country.

I do speak french (I know not EVERY canadian speaks french though) and I'm familiar with non-american forms of English (I know canadian spellings can be slightly different).

Can someone tell me if it is difficult to obtain canadian certification if you're from outside the country? Is the hassle worth the bother?

There is no Canadian teaching certificate to be had.

Education in Canada is a provincially regulated matter and teachers are licenced by regulatory bodies specific to each province.
