Hello everybody, my desire is to issue a study permit to Canada, in BC and even more in particular to one of Vancouver Island public post-secondary institutions and Community colleges, if possible. Now, I know that Students graduating from an eight-month certificate program are eligible for a work permit afterwards. My questions are:
What's the total amount of study hours (annually or on weekly basis) so the program will be regarded as an academic year (again, by the hourly basis)? would enrollment to 'part-time, non-credit Certificate Program' in an institute like 'Vancouver Island University' or 'North Island College' could facilitate with getting a work permit in the field I graduated from, would it promote to my intention of producing later PR Status and would it be recognized?
Also, what are the exact steps I need to follow in order to gain the Landing and then the PR status? From what place physically should those steps take place (source country, Canada itself, border crossing point)? What's the estimated timetable for getting answers from the authorities and for the propulsion of the procedure?
Since I would like to settle somewhere in BC(as I mentioned somewhere in the island) and Since there is a program on an annually basis only I'm interested in which takes place exactly in that area(except, it starts on September, which means I missed this year's opportunity to enroll), does it make any sense to register into a similar program that will take place in the Ottawa area(considering moving afterwards to BC, searching for an employer in an area I wasn't accustomed to and didn't feel throughout all my tuition period) and also I'm not sure if an Ontario institute or institute in any other province will back up their graduates and support them(which in most cases they do) with finding a workplace, job, employer in another province accordingly with the graduate intention to settle in another place?

Thanks in Advance
