So i'm going for my 3 year pass ..maybe 4 year honours in a double major of political science and human geography. I'm thinking about going into teaching highschool but i don't know if human geography would be considered a teachable.. or if political science would be considered one in ontario. i'm looking it up but i don't know. help?
To be honest with you, you will probably wont find work and if you do it will be as a sub and that will probably be the best you can do. Not to be blunt but teachers are not in high demand at this point in Ontario.
Why would you spend all those years in college to get degrees in such obscure fields?, Human geology?Good luck with that ,Political science may have more to offer if you are thinking of getting into politics,i dont think either would get you a full time job teaching those fields ..Why not go for a Bachelor of Education that way you can look for teaching jobs in regular schools once completed,if you want to up the game after that a masters or doctorate degree would be a good step in getting teaching tenure at a college or university.
