i was just going to ask this same question. For about a week back in January i noticed a strange odor coming from me that i could never pinpoint where it was coming from. i assume at that time things may have been metsastasizing. i went to my doctor and told him my concern and he said he did not notice any odor at all. about 8 days i stopped noticing it
Yes, cancer has a smell. Once you've smelled it, you never forget it. I used to work in a hospital where nurses would sit out bowls of yogurt in the rooms of cancer patients to absorb the smell. Its a sickening sweet odor.
As if others around you notice it, or if just you notice it. I doubt it would be the cancer smell coming from your mouth. When was thw last time you had a dental checkup and cleaning? Also, try an ENT--ear, nose, throst doctor. You could have a sinus infection.
It could also be diabetes. Do you often have dry mouth? Many drugstores do free or low-cost diabetic screening, you might want to look into that as well.
If you have Type II diabetes, and you have a sweet odor from the mouth, you might not be controlling your blood sugar as well as you should. Do you test your sugar daily?

I test at least twice a day. It is not under control as it should.
