We will try the hospital with the next prescription. (After so much malarkey, it seems that we tried it when this journey first started, but I really don't remember, so will try again.)
Although the mail order could be an alternative, he never tried it. I find it hard to believe that they will leave such drugs on a front porch, but not in a pharmacy.
But that's right. The losers make it bad for everyone, but they don't care, so it likely won't change. The world is nuts.

Try a mail order pharmacy. I get controlled substances via mail order, but they're only class 3, I don't know about class 2.....and if you call to ask, they might give you the same type of runaround. Perhaps they will send a class II with a signature required?
Hospital pharmacies usually won't dispense for out of the hospital use...
Pharmacies can't do a short fill on controlled RX.....
Here's just a thought, perhaps you could get the doc to write small quantities, like one week at a time. Most pharmacies should stock at least that much. Problem is, you have to physically go to the doctor's office to pick up the RX, they can't mail it, phone or fax it in. I ran into similar issues when they changed Vicodin from class 3 to class 2. I was going through a hip replacement and codeine simply didn't work, and you would have thought I was a criminal trying to get something stronger.......the drug addicts always manage to figure out their angle, we pain sufferers are caught in the middle....
I asked my daughter about hers and she tells me the pharmacies will prescribe her 30 pills at a time and she just uses the 90 pill script for the additional 2 refills. It's a hassel but the pharmacies have to adhere to their liability guidloines.
Another vote for cancer hospital. Tier 2 can not be mailed, can not have refills and can not be called in, you have to have the paper script, a real PITA for people truly needing.
Just wait, read an article yesterday about Immodium, used by many cancer patients to control the chemo side effect of diarrhea, being used by heroin addicts in huge quantities, for a methadone like high. They will be putting this behind the counter and asking for your license like they do for allergy meds.
